    Hey all,

I have built a footy (see attached pic) BUT when I took it out of the water, there was water inside it. Anyone knows why and what I should do to prevent that? I think it takes water in from the tube that holds the rudder shaft.

    Thanks!

Yep, I've come across this before - you've got what is technically known as a 'leak' !!

    Couldn't resist that, sorry!

Anyway, as a first fix I'd be inclined to run in a slightly thickened epoxy mix where the rudder tube exits the hull & deck. It'll also be worth checking the fin attachment point to make sure there's no water incursion there. Are you also sure that the hull seams are correctly sealed - out of interest what material is the hull made from?

Hope that gives you a few pointers - let us know how you get on.

    Regards,
