Need to update RG65 forum web page title with revised link - see below: Hey Dick Can you change the pointer for the Official RG65 Home site? The new location is www.RG65usa.org The Duke city site is not going to be taken down any time soon, but it is also not being kept up to date. Thanks, Eric
steve, I just saw this message from you... not sure how I missed it... with out a solid bow or transom made it much easier but it was difficult but there was enough flex to get the hull off the mold... use copious amounts of wax and mold release if you have it... also some long thin chunks of wood, like toung depressors to slide between the mold and hull help break the initial tack...
Marc: I read in one of your posts a year or so old now that you were going to make a Goth IOM from a female mold. How did that turn out? Any trouble getting the hull out of the mold, even without a stern since the boat has so much trumblehome from mid sections aft? I ask because I have finished planking Frank Russell's new US1M version of the Goth. My test hull will be molded on top of the plug and roughed out into a boat so I can test the location of the fin, rudder and mast before committing to a socket stepped mast. The final boat will come from a female mold done in Hydocal and either a hand lay up or vacuum bagged - not sure the minor weight reduction on a top of A rig boat is worth the extra expense of bagging. Any insights are welcomed. Steve
disclaimer: ;-) Because this is not my native language, please be prepared to read some experimental terms or some strange kind of language.
Chad - forwarded to you a request for a person to allow posting. I had him wait a few days - but perhaps his intro is being viewed as "spam" ? Just an FYI, Dick 6/12/2013
